Our multi-site locations allow you to work through your academic or professional degree in either a residential or urban ministry format, cohort model or through online classes that incorporate residential intensives. You can choose to study on our Wilmore, Kentucky or Florida Dunnam campuses, our Memphis, Tennessee cohort, our Tulsa, Oklahoma cohort, or our Online Program (ExL).

The tranquility of the Kentucky landscape mixed with easy access to major metropolitan cities like Lexington, Louisville, Cincinnati and Nashville offers the ideal backdrop for a season of study and ministry.

Campus visits are available Monday-Friday, and occasionally Saturday.

During your visit, you’ll:

Can I complete a degree online?

Study online. Stay on mission with an online master of divinity degree or master’s degree in leadership, theology and intercultural studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Complete your degree in as few as three years with online classes and four, one-to-two-week campus visits.

Is your school accredited?

We are accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (TATS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and approved by the United Methodist Senate. Learn more about our accreditation.

Are you associated with a particular denomination?

Asbury Theological Seminary is a multi-denominational graduate school of theology.  We are not affiliated with any one denomination, but are proud of our rich Wesleyan heritage.

How long does it take to complete a Master of Divinity or Master of Arts degree?

The average student takes between 6 and 9 hours each academic semester. Our Master of Divinity is a 96 credit hour degree, which typically takes students between three to five years to complete.

Our Master of Arts degrees range from 60 to 63 hours, which typically takes students two to four years to complete.

Is chapel required?

Chapel is not required, however our vibrant worship services attract students, faculty and staff for community gatherings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the Kentucky Campus and every Tuesday and Thursday on the Florida Dunnam Campus.
